ANNA MARIA BOZZA Italy

Anna Maria is born in Naples in 1982. She studied director of photography in the tourisme. She has been studying for 4 years guitar and singing with Gianfranco Caliendo and 1 year a solfeggio in the Musical academy of Aldo Ferraresi. Now she studies classical and modern solfeggio. She worked as a volunteer in the Association for disabled people in the municipality of Naples. She was a soloist of a school choir; she worked in several piano bars and performed in cabaret shows in Naples; she was also a music animator. In 2002 she participated in festival. In 2004 Anna Maria took part in two music and theatre shows together with the popular Italian theater actress Anna Maria Ackermann Poetry and music (she sang her songs) and Midnight in the park (she sang the songs written by Pino Danielle). In 2004 she won the Franco Agrisano's name prize. She is a finalist for the festival Sent Vincent'05 Ivrea.

VIKI SREBROVA - Macedonia

Viki Srebrova has graduated a ballet school in Scopie. Proffesional folklorist, dancer, model, she is one of the 6 most beautiful women in Macedonia. She is in the music business since 1989. Viki has 5 albums. She is the author of 52 songs. She is a successful businesswoman and owner of Ekssinema, Scopje.

DANIEL LAZAR Romania

He's dreamed of pop stardom since he was 16 and formed a band with his friends from school. His first major success was in 1999 when he was one of 10 finalists in the Romanian National Pop-Festival. From 1999 till 2002 he is soloist in the first Byzantine Choir of the World Names Kontakion, Romania. From 2002 till 2004 he is soloist of ethno-dance and pop group called Etno.

Contests, festivals and prizes: Mondial Group Festival'00, Bucharest (First Prize), Jazz, folk, rock Festival, Craiova, Romania (First Prize). In 2004 he is among the twelve finalists in the Romanian Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.

 

KASSIA STEMPOWSKI - RSA

Kassia was born in a town in South Africa called Port Elizabeth on Friday 13th, lucky date for her. She has been singing, acting, dancing and composing from an early age and she continues to do so. Composing and singing is her passion.

She is currently recording a CD and preparing for the major of South African Music festival Splashy Fen. She performs in musicals and she has recently returned from the UK, where she performed a number of solo gigs in London.

 

 

SHANNON KENNY R.S.A.

 Shannon Kenny is a South African singer and actress. Shannon's singing coach is Madlen Tzankova, a Bulgarian Opera singer, who now works in R.S.A. Shannon started her performance career as an actress in 1994. She moved on to musical theatre at the end of 1997. The song Ashes, which helped Shannon win 3rd prize for best singer at Discovery 2004, went to number 2 on Higway radio. Shannon's music videos, which were produced and directed by her husband Patrick, have been broadcast nationally on 3 channels in South Africa as well as internationally on satellite. One of Shannon's most notable appearances was a solo performance for President Thabo Mbeki. Shannon and her husband Patrick were recently commissioned by their Provincial Government to create, direct and produce an educational theatre piece.

MONTSE DORTA - Spain

Montse Dorta was born in Tenerife, Spain. At the moment she is a lead and ackgroud singer in the groups Salsarrica, Etcetera, White Wood. Montse is also a co-writer for a Canarian TV Show. Recently she has recorded her first videoclip Look at the stars now at midnight. In 2004 she has recorded her second album as a singer of the group Etcetera.

Festivals and prizes: finalist of the Villa de Cadelaria Song Contest, Spain in 2000. Festivals: Latinoamerican Song Contest of California'00, USA; Song Expo-Benelux'99, Holland (first prize).

 

 

PETRA DAKAJ - Slovakia

Born in Koshitse, Slovakia, she graduated from Secondary Artistic School - artistic photographer. Since her early teens she has been a member of the Folk Ensemble Yahodna, one of most famous East Slovakian Folk Ensembles. Since 1990 she has been the a singer of many folk oriented bands: Karieka, Country Capela, Camion. Her passion for folklore is expressed through music. Together with her own group Nostalgia, Petra is concerting with her new program containing her own songs and also her lovely croatian songs.

Festivals and prizes: Dargovska Rua '01 (first prize) and special prize in 2002; US Steel Talent Night 02 and '04, Koshitse, Slovakia; International festivals Porta 03 and Strunobranie '03.

 

PRISCILLA PSAILA - Malta

Priscilla persevered in her musical studies and sat for several classical voice and technique exams, held by Victoria Collage of Music, London. She also plays the Flute. As a teenager she had very successful TV career. When she was only sixteen, she participated in the Malta Song `for Europe Festival and placed third. Priscilla has recently opened a school where she teaches singing to over sixty students. She has also formed a choir which is very much in demand in Malta. She composes songs.

 

Other festivals: Steua De Mare '00, Romania (the best foreign singer); Vilnius '02, United Europe, Poland.

 

REBECA FUMAZONI Argentina

She's a singing composer. Rebeca was a member of many bands until 1999 when she went solo. She obtained the Tabaiba of Bronze and Diploma of Honor (at 5th place) at Tenerife Song Contest '04.

RICARDO COSTA - Portugal

He was born in 1985. He has studied guitar since 1995 and singing in the choral group Notas Soltas. He has made many presentations on radio and TV, singing several soap operas and Portuguese series songs. Now, he is a medicine student and is working on his first CD, with Portuguese music.

 

SOGDIANA Uzbekistan

Oxana Vladimirovna Nechitaylo (Sogdiana) was born in Tashkent in 1984. She graduated Music School and now is studying in the Pop-Vocal Faculty of the Uzbek State Conservatory.

Festivals, contests and prizes: Young Pianists Contest '98, Tashkent, Sado '99 TV Festival, Tashkent, Fatherland's Melodies '02, Tashkent, Uzbekistan Our Common Home '03, Tashkent (best female vocal), Road To The Stars '03 Contest, St. Petersburg, Nihol 03 (state award for pop singer nominee).

 

CIX Italy

Cinzia Rosa (Cix) is a singer/violinist. As a singer she spent a few years in Africa, which allows her to create an eclectic voicing. Her song Spiaggia Divina was submitted to San Remo Festival and was included in the AFI (Italian Phonographic Association) compilation delivered at MIDEM'02.

Albums: Havana Mambo's Romance 00 and La Mecaniquita '02 with the Havana Mambo Orchestra, Il Sole Fuori 05(The Sun Outside).

Festivals and prizes: Biella Independent Labels'02 (third Prize), St. Vincent Hit Festival (first Prize), Golden Stag'04, Romania, Vina del Mar'05, Chile.

 

 

YULIA Estonia

Yulia Pitkevich (23) recalls her first appearance on stage at the age of 4. 12 years old she won her first First Prize. Then followed Golden Voice '97 (1st Prize) and Song f Viru '01 (1st Prize). She always had passion for two things: music and languages. So she graduated Finish Philology and Music Therapy at Tallinn Pedagogical University. During her student years she had the chance to work with professional musicians as a backing vocalist.

Yulia had to put performing aside for some time due to personal reasons but now she's back working on her debut album. All the tracks for the album are written by her, because she's got a lot to tell. Discovery '05 is going to be her new start after a long break.

 

SERGIU CUZENCOV - Moldova

Sergiu Cuzencov was born on 17.03.1981 in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova.

Now he is a student at the National State Academy of Music, Theater and Film from Moldova, specialty Estrada canto, pop singing. From earliest childhood he likes to sing and dance. Many professionals have immediately noticed him and foreseen him a nice future. That is why, after he passed his high school graduation exams, he enrolled at the faculty Music, Estrada and jazz. He is at the beginning of his carrier but is already very successful. Sergiu collaborates with one of the most famous composers from Moldova Marian Stircea. Now he is working on his first album that will also include the song Your Star that was chosen for the national finale Eurovision and is demanded by many national radios stations and is in top.

Sergiu collaborates for many years with many prestigious clubs. He also performs in the most prestigious concert halls. The young singer is very sure to make a singing career but never forgets: to become a great singer he has to work, work and work. His hobby is foreign languages.

Festivals: Two twin hears'04 ( 3rd prize), Martisor 2005. In 2005 he was a finalist at the national pre-selection for Eurovision Song Contest, Moldova. He got different prizes at festivals in Odesa, Bucharest, Moscow.

 

SEBASTIAN PLEWINSKI - Poland

He was born in Legnica, Poland. Since he was four he has been singing in the Song Studio which is in the Youth Culture Center in Legnica city. His favourite singers are Usher, Stevie Wonder, Gloria Estefan, Macy Gray, Craig David.

He is keen on Italian food. Apart from singing his hobby is listening to jazz and soul music, dancing and swimming. He adores meeeting new people and although he's quite a busy person he still tries to keep in touch with his friends. He is friendly and outgoing and always looks on the bright side.

Lena Zhuranto Russia

Lena was a soloist of a popular children's show group. She had taken part in music programs on radio and TV as well as in music contests and had won prize-places there. Now she is studying in the State Classical University in Perm. Lena is fond of listening music, reading, traveling, playing piano and of course singing. She also records new songs. Lena sings in Russian, English and French. She also began to learn German.

Festivals and competitions: The Wings'03 TV contest for young singers; The Sea Knot'04, Novorossiysk (Special Prize); Stars Shining'05, St. Petersburg (First Prize and Golden Cup).

 

KATYA TASHEVA - Bulgaria

Katya Tasheva was born in Varna, Bulgaria on the 20th of March, 1986. Her hobbies are the music, the singing, the theatre, the photography. She likes many music styles such as jazz, alternative, soul. She enjoys hanging out with friends.

Katya is perfecting her music skills in the Studio Da in Varna. She participated in many promotion shows and concerts. One of her songs is included in the album of the sudio Da that was promoted in August 2004.

Katya has a very noble dream: reaching to the people's hearts through music, sending them her message.

"I want to put my heart in all I do, and to prove myself that everything is possible"-says the young singer.

 

 

DUO MANIA - Bulgaria

Duo Mania includes the sisters Daniela (born in 1974) and Julia (born in 1976). It was created in 1999 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Their first album It's not truth was out in October '99. The songs It's not truth, I don't want, I can't, The world is for two became total hits. The world is for two was at the top of Bulgarian charts for 15 weeks. Daniela won second prize in the International Festival for Young Talents Golden Orpheus Bulgaria' 96. In 1997 she sang on boards of Paradise cruises, Cyprus. Since 1998 Duo Mania have been working for the Norwegian music company RAM and have been show-entertainers of Color Line Cruises. They have been pronounced Best Duo of 2000 in Bulgaria. In December 2003 they released their second album Cold eyes.

Festivals, competitions and prizes: International Festival for Young Talents Melfest'99 in Macedonia (first prize), The World Championships of Performing Arts'00, Los Angeles, USA (first prize), The World Music Festival'03, Nanning, China. In May 2004 they participated into another popular music festival, Beijing and performed some of the songs of their second album.

ELENA NEKLIUDOVA- Russia

Elena Nekliudova - a sexy blondy girl, was interesting to the audience before the launch of her first CD, called Life.

Since 5 years old, Elena was not thinking for anything but the music and singing. In her career as professional singer she graduated a music school and music university. The first time Elena appears at the stage was at the age of 17, although she is very popular at this moment.

Elena was a back-vocal of Masha Rasputina. That was her first step in the show-business. Elena is author of her songs, but she has always dreaming of her own solo career.

A singer, lyrics writer and composer, she called her style female lyric poetry. Each of her songs is a little history. The debut CD of Elena Nekliudova is called Life.
